The Illustrator is the person who draws the pictures in your book.
The process of making a picture has many steps. Each step takes thought and good ideas! Below is the process for the pictures in Biddy Mason.

Do you think you want to be an Illustrator? Joyce Jackson is the illustrator for the book Bridget "Biddy" Mason.

First, the illustrator creates a storyboard.
The storyboard helps us visualize the story in pictures.

Next, the illustrator enlarges each sketch from the storyboard.

Then, the illustrator reworks the picture adding more details.

Finally, the illustrator adds the color.

And there it is!! The Finished Picture!!
